Ms Lungelo Dhladhla, the creative mind behind Mindset Concept, is an award-winning actress, a founder and Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning Mindset Concept Production House, a company she founded over a decade ago, her experience of more than 15 years as an established television and film practitioner, includes media production supply value chain, research production management, content developer, art director and radio presenter. Her work has received accolades nationally and internationally, in 2009 she won an Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Promising Actress in Africa, and right on its heels, in 2012, she won the South African Film and Television Awards for Best Actress in Drama series.
In 2022, Mindset Concept Production House won a South African Film and Television Awards for producing the Best Educational Program in 2022 Titled Kick It, where she was an executive producer. Lungelo holds a Master’s degree in commerce (MCom) specialising in Local Economic Development from the Graduate School of Business and Leadership at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and serves as a Film and Publication Board Council member. Through her philanthropy organisation, Africa Television Market, Lungelo devotes her time and resources to developing and growing the industry.
Africa Television Market organisation is a non-profit company NPC which was founded by Ms Lungelo Dhladhla in the year 2014. Africa Television Market is a subsidiary company under Mindset concept Production House, which was created to develop and grow the film and television industry in KwaZulu Natal. As the organisation grew, the demand grew, and the organisation began executing its program in different parts of the country. The organisation runs the following programs: Hear My Sign, which is co-founded with AndiSigns organisation. The program was created to empower and transfer knowledge and opportunities to deaf learners who aspire to become film and television practitioners. Africa Television Market mentorship programs are created to grow emerging filmmakers. We provide a short course which gives filmmakers practical experience and exposure. The short courses which we offer cut across the supply chain from scriptwriting, producing camera etc. Tele-dialogues is a program whereby we regroup industry experts from parts of the industry to impact new trends and opportunities for aspiring emerging practitioners who are currently working in the industry. The tele-dialogues are executed in a panel discussion format.
